The story that is... ...

It is rather interesting to find out the end product by putting all three ingredients into a pot of water and letting the water boil. At 100 degrees Celsius, all three would be cooked, but the differences lie in the process of being cooked as well as the end product.

The egg
Uncooked: soft
Cooked: hard, (think hard-boiled egg)

The carrot
Uncooked: extremely hard. (would need to borrow bug's teeth to gnaw it)
Cooked: extremely soft, to the extent of being mashed carrot.

The coffee bean
Uncooked: semi - hard
Cooked/roasted: still semi - hard, gives out aroma
The longer the time boiled/roasted, the more aromatic is the fragrance.

Now, in life, to be exposed to hardships is an everyday affair. The ingredients being cooked in boiling water is similar to the pressure and hardships we undergo daily.
To give up and to bow to hardships would make us vulnerable in terms of survival, and even perhaps to follow the crowd blindly.
It is only when we stand up to pressures and be resilient do we stay strong in times of turbulences, and if circumstances allow, enable us to shine and to benefit society in any individual way possible.
