To usher in the new year, gongs and cymbals were sounded at 7.28am. Following that was the annual customary Lion Dance and 采青.This year was slightly different. Grand master performed the Lion Dance using one hand, ohh my, how special. 10 minutes of performance on stage, 10 years of hardwork off stage.
Half way through, the Lion plucked the vegetables which were hanging from the 2nd floor. Together with peeled oranges, the lion "spit" out the vegetables and peeled orange skins at the audience, much to the delight of the adults.
"Cher, just now the lion threw vegetables and orange skins at my head. Can I throw them back?"
"Err... of course not. That is a form of blessings for you. You must not throw them back at the Lion."
"Then next time can I throw vegetables and orange skins at my friends?"
"NO!!!" -_____-"
I am just glad that I have trained my customers to seek permission from me before doing anything (silly).
After the performance, I grabbed this opportunity to TLLM. As I asked my customers, I received answer that was one of its kind in this world.
"How do you think the performers managed to perform the Lion Dance using only one hand?" I asked.
"I know. Is it because the man at the bottom is fat while the man on top is thin?"
"Err... ..." -___-III
"Well, you are not wrong. But this is not the answer I am looking for. Please try again."
You never know what creative minds are up to.
