V is for Victory, V is for Volleyball

I am not the least bothered by the rule whereby it limits the number of players. Miss those days whereby two of us formed a team and we smacked our way to victory. Victory was not always sweet especially when both wrists get bruised easily after hitting the volleyball, but we learnt somehow, and soon contentment exceeds the pain. I always had the privilege of serving the ball and will secretly gloat when the other party cannot “receive” my shot. Maybe my height was an advantage as the other girls were not as tall as me. Maybe... ...Maybe... ... there is no link at all between height and victory, perhaps, the ultimate winning factors are skills and a bit of bad luck (for the other team, of course, Bwahahaha). A game is still a game and will always be enjoyable. Turn that into a competition and the girls will morph into fighting ninjas, Geeez.

I cannot say I like beach volleyball, because I cannot stand the uneven ground and when I'm trying my best to get a foothold, the sand just keep on disappearing beneath my feet. I prefer hard landing and the body gets back into "getting ready position" (read: knees bent, stomach in, buttocks out.) Maybe I will try beach volleyball in future, who knows.
