H.O.T. in an art gallery

(The Lady Of Shallot)
[Click on it]
I was given this piece of artwork to analyse, more so criticise, as part of my project work.
The facial expressions of the subject matter, the object she was holding on to (or was she being chained to), etc.
Women, by nature, pay more attention to details and hence should do better when analysing this picture.
Men, by nature, do not pay attention to details as much.
The results in a class of less than 20 yielded surprise findings. Men did better as they were more analytical and made better judgement. Women were too emotional and hence did not do as well as their male classmates. Women failed to JUSTIFY their critics for this picture and was penalised.
As for me, I had a good time, enjoyed myself, let my imagination run wild while I looked at the WHOLE picture. Who cared about the grades for that particular piece of project work? But of course, I had to convince my tutor my argument put forth.
In Literature, there is no absolute right or wrong (answers).
Key word is... ... "Justify". :D
[Edit: Sometimes, I need to be grateful to my horoscope, which is the Queen when it comes to being imaginative. So far, so good.]
