我会画画, I can draw

There was a time... ... ... ...when I simply did not pay attention in class when my teacher was teaching. I would have my textbook opened right before me. I would hold a pencil in my hand, and I added “dialogues” to the characters found in the textbook, be it Bala, Devi or Muthu. Then there was Yakki and Wollie too.

Maybe those days of inserting conversations for the characters, plus drawing pictures aimlessly while the teacher yakked away lay the foundation for my drawings today. Who else would continue to talk even when those around them are not interested/cannot be bothered? Has to be the teacher, right?

These pictures were drawn by me, yup, drawn after attending a workshop on drawing comics. Still, the “foundation” was there, agree?

I want to look at these pictures ten years down the road and say “Hey, I can draw, yah?”
