Love is all around me - Wet Wet Wet



Wet Wet Wet sang this, perhaps... ...

I feel it in my finger,
I feel it in my toe,
Blood is all around me,
And so the feeling's gone... ...

It's bloody on the floor,
It's everywhere I go... ...


I heard a crack sound and that's it, it is gone. It left me bleeding and limping.

It happened so fast as I was walking, and that's typically why it is called an accident.


This time,
more than half of my toenail was gone,
with a split opened it the middle,
so deep was the spilt that I could see the underlying pinkish red flesh.
Same foot, injuries sustained on different toes.


Someone passed me a handiplast.
Unfortunately,
that handiplast was blood soaked within a few moments of putting it on.


Oh god,
what is that oozing out from the wound,
Yucks,
plasma,
blood platelets, etc,
whatever my biology teacher taught me suddenly became vivid to me.


Same foot, 2 toe(nails) injured within a timeframe of 4.0 months.

Right now, it hurts when I walk.
I try not to limp though,
I cannot imagine wearing high heels to work in a few days' time.
And I think I can forget about jogging for the next 2 weeks. (*plump girl detected*)

Strangely,
This time round, when I hurt my toe(nail), I did not cry.
It was painful, but I did not cry.

Instead,
I said this to myself,
to be exact:
NB ! NB !! NB !!!

( NB, I learn dialect so that I can swear.)
