Lunch at Beauty World Centre

(Click on this picture to enlarge it.)

Oh good! At $9.40 for 3 person for lunch, it is value meal. It is inclusive of fish and pork. Not a bad deal.
The Assam Stingray was very fresh. Boss was generous with lady's fingers and brinjal, both of which I liked. I literally drenched my plate of rice with Assam gravy, and the result is? A very appetizing meal. Not too spicy, just enough kick. The sourness plus aroma of the spices went very well with the rice. Next, the pork chop was good. Very meaty, little batter, hahaha, if you know what I mean. There were two other side dishes -- vegetables and egg omelette with Chai Poh.
I had ordered these 4 dishes separately. As it turned out, we paid less than $10.00 for our meal.

Not to be confused with Beauty World Plaza, which is nearby.

(Satay Beehoon with prawns instead of pork)
Boss uses fresh prawns and cockles in the Satay Beehoon. This is unlike other stalls that I have tried, which uses sliced pork instead. I welcome the use of seafood ingredients. Price is reasonable. The dish is not too spicy. The peanut gravy is just nice, not diluted.
$3.00 for Satay Beehoon

(Kang Kong Cuttlefish)
Also ate the Kang Kong Cuttlefish dish ( You Yu Eng Chai )
Price at $4.00 onwards.
The cuttlefish is crunchy, not overcooked, which is the most important aspect of this dish. It has generous servings of garnish and vegetables to go along with. I ordered the "sweet version" ( as oppose to spicy).
Something else caught my eye. A few stalls away from the Satay Bee Hoon Stall was this handmade noodle stall. Called Top 1 一级棒 (Yi Ji Bang). Many photographs were splashed across this corner stall. Upon closer look, I saw Men In White -- non other than our ministers of state. They have tried and tested the noodles. Guess it should be not bad. I did not try the noodles, of course, as by this time, I was very full.
Washed down my lunch with freshly squeezed carrot juice...shiok !
(Edit: I forgot to take note of the Rest Day for the stalls mentioned above...and...I patronised the above stalls on a Saturday afternoon...12 noon is a good time to go...Good luck to you.)
