I was hungry at 4.00pm. And soon kueh plus dark gooey black sweet sauce was a very satisfying snack.
This delicious kueh is worth the distance travelled. A stone’s throw away from Alexandra village. It is located opposite Alexandra Hospital / Queensway Shopping Centre.
The usual ones sold in other places use shredded turnips and carrots. This store uses bamboo shoots (Shun). The results is? More crunchy. It has shrimps, mushrooms and other stuff. The skin is soft and thin. Once bitten open, it is chockfull of ingredients. Not for vegetarians though. Sold at $6.50 for a box of five (Large).
