Another ranting

What have they done to the favourite fountain of mine?

First, some nuts decided to stage a lucky draw booth next to the indoor fountain.
Next, a mini games station was erected to attract shoppers.
Then, there was this redemption booth set up for shoppers who spent S$100 and above.
Sometime ago, Goldheart Jewellery erected mannequins, all dressed up as fairies. These mannequins [I call these Si Cha Tao(s)] stood in the inner ring of the fountain, oh gosh, obstructing my view of the fountain. As if not creating enough din, the stage crew brought along the entire sound system and decided to spin music, right next to where the fountain was located.

* sobs *

So what if the management revealed in the newspapers a few weeks ago that the revamped section isn't bringing in the crowd? Now, with a TCC outlet being opened, it should attract more coffee lovers. And that underpass, it has been reopened and leads to Citylink. In the near future, a new MRT exit will open near, yes, near to where the fountain is located. Wouldn't these bring in the crowd?

The (indoor) fountain is the place to sit down and rest after shopping, for tired shoppers and tourists alike, for them to gaze at the beautiful fountain shooting streams of water upwards. Small as it may be, the fountain is a refreshing sight from stores after stores which screamed (fake) Sale.

(Me, Fountain & Si Cha Tao s)

So, can I have a quiet section in the shopping center, to get away from the din, to get away from the maddening crowd, to get away from the loud booming music, for goodness sake? Can I have some peace around here, please? Suntec City Mall, are you listening?

Just me, and my favourite fountain, 可以 mah?
* sobs harder *
