Everything we do, we do our best, well at least, this has been the norm all along.
On top of that, we do it big and we do it well. Who are we?
Two weeks camp at a local university hostel. Over here, we take turns to stay overnight but our customers sleep in the hostels throughout the period of 14 days. My customers do not get to go home in the period of two weeks.
At dawn, we wake up and get ready to go to work. My customers attend the usual routine, we, carry on with our work. Enrichment, CCAs, etc as usual from mornings till late afternoons. In the evenings, we take transport and arrive at our own hostels, have dinner and bathe. Night time, enrichment activities are carried out. It will be a well 18 hours before we get to sleep again, only to wake up the next day and report to work. One of the enrichments for a Saturday was an excursion down the Singapore River. There was even a BBQ night as well.
Mention one clocking in 15 hours per day nowadays and no one bats an eyelid. After all, with so much work to do, 15 hours is the minimum. On Saturdays and Sunday, work goes on. I wonder how long I can stay sane, but hey, I have been sane (Or was I not??) in the same place for the past eight years, including to the extend of “pursuing” night classes at night, so, how bad can it get?
