Financial Planning in Sing Dollars

(Based on 5 day work week)

Breakfast – 2.00
Recess – 1.70
Lunch – 2.70
Teabreak – 0.60
Dinner – 3.00

Total spent – 10.00

Scenario 1.1 (daily)

Skip breakfast – savings of 2.00
Heavier recess – 2.00
Lighter lunch – 1.80
Teabreak – 0.60
Dinner – 3.00

Total savings – (2.00 + 1.70 + 2.70 + 0.60 + 3.00 –2.00 -1.80) = 2.60

Grand total savings per week = (5 x 2.60) = 13.00

Grand total saved per week at 13.00 is equivalent to enjoying ONE fast food meal per week.

Scenario 1.2 (weekly)

One kid's sized fast food meal instead – 6.75
Total savings = (13.00 – 6.75) = 6.25

Grand total savings per week = 6.25

Grand total saved per week at 6.25 is equivalent to food for THREE hamsters for THREE months.

Scenario 1.3 (three months)

If I were to share food with my 3 pet hamsters, I would enjoy further savings of (3 x 4 x 10.00) = 120.00. Afterall, hamsters' diet is healthy and nutritious: sunflower seeds, oats, rice, dried carrots, barley and biscuits etc.
Wholesome goodness !!!

The hamster equation is confusing cos here's my calculation :

Food for 3 hamster for 3 months = $6.25

Food for 1 Lin assuming 20 work days a month for 3 months = $10 x 20 x 3 = $600

If Appetite of 1 Lin = Appetite of 1 Hamster

Food for 1 Lin for 3 months = 6.25/3 = 2.08333 round of to the 5 decimal place

Therefore 3 month's saving is $600 - $2.08333

Which is a lot of savings. LOL

No...No...No...1 Lin's appetite does not equate that of 1 ham ham...

Do I qualify to be a full time Financial Planner then? LOL

Even if 1 Lin = 10 hamsters, that's still a pretty good savings solution.

I just pray you do not start running in wheels and around tunnels
